Most of our work runs under NDA. The companies below agreed to be named. They work in wind energy and consumer electronics, where a single supplier deviation can hold up an entire program.

Featured engagement

When safety becomes routine, someone has to ask the right questions.

Bringing transparency to the supply chain of a global wind-energy OEM.

A leading global wind-turbine OEM commissioned us to audit the supply chain behind its transport and lifting equipment. Many of these suppliers had supported the OEM for decades; relationships were long-standing, operations looked reliable, and processes had simply become the established way of working. Yet the equipment is highly safety-critical, and the supply chain had never been assessed against one unified set of quality, safety, and compliance requirements.

Over roughly 18 months we ran a multi-phase audit program across the whole supply chain: management systems and certifications, welding processes and personnel qualifications, manufacturing and inspection, documentation and traceability, NDT practices, tooling and equipment management, and safety and regulatory compliance. The objective was not to find fault. It was to identify risks before they became problems.

Many processes had evolved over the years without ever being challenged from a company-wide compliance and quality perspective. Some relied heavily on the knowledge of individual employees. Documentation was not always complete. In several areas we identified significant deviations from established quality and safety standards, some severe enough that they would likely have stayed hidden without an independent, in-depth assessment.

For the first time, the OEM had a full, objective view of its transport and lifting equipment supply chain. Critical gaps were identified, corrective actions implemented, and long-term improvements initiated across the supplier network: greater transparency, improved process reliability and safety, stronger compliance and governance, reduced quality and liability risk, and a more resilient supplier base.

Risks do not disappear because they remain unseen. They disappear when organizations have the courage to uncover them.
